Iowa newspaper editor and beer blogger J. Wilson is 31 days into his fast, who is only drinking beer and water for lent. The tradition of a beer fast dates back hundreds of years to German monks, where Wilson first got the idea. He has dropped 18 pounds and plans on breaking his beer only fast on Easter Sunday.
